As you all know, we here at Ten Over Ten are big fans of the young, up and coming hip hop movement. Well in the last 2 weeks, two of our favorite artists, both from Pittsburgh, both still affiliated with Rostrum Records indy label… Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller have both dropped really dope mixtape projects. Wiz takes it back to his smooth, lyrical style that everyone fell in love with on Kush and Orange Juice. The tape is named after his Pittsburgh High School, Taylor Allderdice, which also sheds light on where the “Taylor Gang” movement got its name. Mac Miller again has really tight lyrical songs that inlcude fun, intense, smooth, trippy, and passionate tracks. There is a nice interview by MTV with Mac about his “Macadelic” project that you can check out right HERE! and if you want to check out either of these mixtapes, you can get them straight from the source at the links below!
Make sure to get over to our webstore and grab one of our newest crewneck sweatshirts. Two new designs were released last week! Let everyone know where your from and that you’re dreamin’ big and workin’ hard! SHOP HERE
More than a celebration of history, Black History Month is about remembrance of the countless scarf ices made in the past and a commendation of ancestral accomplishments. Its also the reason behind the expansive nature of this year’s Black History Month Collection from Nike. In addition to the tennis ensemble worn by Serena Williams during Australian Open a few weeks back, the collection also encompass several other footwear – Nike Air Force 1, Nike Air Max 1, NikeHuarache Free, and Nike Blazer, each designed with an athlete in mind. To serve as the perfect complements, Nike added its Destroyer Jacket, Dri-FIT tee, and a range of accessories to the collection as well. More information about the collection and related festivities to come in the following weeks.
